Green Beans with Mushrooms and Water Chestnuts Recipe - 7 1/2-cup servingsIngredients: 3/4 pound fresh green beans 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 8-ounce can sliced water chestnuts 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Method: Place beans on a vegetable steamer rack over-boiling water, cook 15 to 20 minutes, or until beans are nearly tender. Add mushrooms the last 5 minutes, add water chestnuts the last 3 minutes. Spoon beans into a serving bowl, toss with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
