Green Beans Italian Style Recipe

Green Beans Italian Style Recipe - 6 servings

Ingredients:

1 pound fresh green beans

1/2 cup chicken broth, preferably homemade

1 teaspoon olive oil

2 cups canned plum tomatoes

Dash of oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

Method:

Wash beans. Remove ends and strings, cut on the diagonal into 1-inch pieces. Set aside. Combine remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Add beans, cook covered for 15 to 20 minutes, or until beans are tender (do not overcook).
