Old-Fashioned Apple Pie Recipe - 8 servings


6 cups apples, pared and sliced

1 1/4 tablespoons lemon juice

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 Easy Pastry Crusts, unbaked


In a bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. Combine sugar, salt, cinnamon and flour, and mix with apples. Spoon into pastry-lined pie plate. Adjust top crust, flute edges, and prick. Bake at 450oF 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 375oF and continue baking 40-50 minutes.
