Meringue Cookies Recipe - 12 cookies


3 egg whites

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/3 cup granulated sugar


In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Beat in salt and cream of tartar. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff.

Cover a baking sheet with ungreased paper (such as brown mailing paper or a grocery bag cut to fit). Drop meringue by teaspoon onto paper.

Bake at 200oF 1 1/2 hours.
