Stir-Fried Beef and Asparagus Recipe - 4 servingsIngredients: 1 pound fresh asparagus 1 tablespoon sake 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce 3/4 pound eye of round steak, thinly sliced into stir-fry strips 1 teaspoon olive oil
Sauce 1 tablespoon oyster sauce 2 tablespoons sake 1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce 1/4 cup water 1/2 teaspoon hot chili oil 1/2 teaspoon potato starch |

Method: In a covered steamer rack over boiling water, steam asparagus 1 1/2 minutes. Set aside. Pour sake and soy sauce over beef and marinate at room temperature 20-3 minutes. In a bowl, combine sauce ingredients and stir well. In a wok or nonstick skillet, heat olive oil. Add beef and stir fry 4-5 minutes. Add asparagus and sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, 2-3 minutes or until very hot. |
