Classic Grilled Burgers Recipe - 8 servingsIngredients: 2 pound ground chuck 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 8 large sesame hamburger buns 2 large firm ripe tomatoes, sliced 8 thin slices white onion 1 head Bibb lettuce, washed and crisped |
Method: Prepare grill. Season meat with salt and pepper and shape into 8 patties. Grill over hot coals, 3 inches from heat, 6-7 minutes per side for medium-rare and 10-11 minutes for well done, turning meat when juices begin to form on top. Serve immediately on warm buns, French bread or French rolls with tomato sliced, onion slices and lettuce. |
