Barbecued Round Steak Recipe - 8 servings


2 teaspoons olive oil

3 tablespoons lemon juice

1 tablespoon red wine


2 garlic cloves, sliced

Pinch of fresh or dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

2 pounds extra-lean round steak

1 large onion, sliced

Pepper to taste


Combine olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, garlic and seasonings, pour over steak. Top with onion. Cover. Marinate in refrigerator for 2 hours, turning several times to coat. Grill steak over hot coals 7-8 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness. Sprinkle with pepper.
