Mussels and Clams with Tomato and Basil Recipe - 4 servingsIngredients: 2 tablespoons fresh basil 2 tablespoons olive oil 1/4 cup minced parsley 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1/2 cup white wine 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper 4 large ripe tomatoes, diced 3 pounds mussels, washed, soaked and bearded 1 pound clams, soaked and cleaned |

Method: In a large steamer over boiling water, combine all the ingredients. Cover and steam 5-10 minutes, removing each clam and mussel as it opens. |
