Mussels and Clams in Wine and Garlic Recipe

Mussels and Clams in Wine and Garlic Recipe - 4 servings


1/4 cup white wine

2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

8 large cloves garlic

Juice of 1 lemon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

3 pound clams, soaked and cleaned

1 pound fresh mussels,

washed, soaked and bearded


In a large steamer over boiling water, combine all ingredients. Cover and steam 5-10 minutes, removing each clam and mussel as it opens.
