Apple Butter Recipe - 1 1/2 pints


4 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and quartered

1/2 cup apple juice

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon all spice

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves


In a stock pot, combine apples and juice. Cover and cook over low heat 45-60 minutes, or until apples are soft and sauce-like. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, all spice and cloves, cook, uncovered, 5-10 minutes, stirring often. Store in covered jar in refrigerator.
