Tuna Salad Sandwich Recipe

Tuna Salad Sandwich Recipe - 3 Sandwiches


1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

6-1/8-ounce can water-packed tuna, drained

3 tablespoons minced onion

2 tablespoons minced celery

2 tablespoons finely chopped water chestnuts

1/3 cup fat-free or light mayonnaise

Dash of prepared mustard

6 slices whole-wheat or rye bread

6 ripe tomato slices

6 large lettuce slices


Sprinkle lemon juice over tuna, toss with onion, celery and water chestnuts. Moisten with mayonnaise and mustard. Spread 3 slices of bread with filling, top each with tomato and lettuce and second slice of bread. Cut sandwich in half and serve.
