Easy Pizza Crust Recipe

Easy Pizza Crust Recipe - 10 slices

Ingredients:

1 heaping teaspoon active dry yeast

2 tablespoons warm water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil, plus 1 teaspoon

1 1/2 teaspoon honey

6 tablespoons cool water

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Dab of tub-style safflower margarine

Method:

Dissolve yeast in the warm water. Let stand 10 minutes. In a small bowl, combine salt, 1 tablespoon olive oil, honey and cool water, add dissolved yeast. In a mixing bowl, combine the honey yeast mixture and flour. Knead by hand or machine until dough is smooth and elastic. If dough is too sticky, add up to 1/2 cup additional flour. Place dough in a bowl that has been greased with safflower margarine, turning once to coat top. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes. Using a rolling pin, flatten dough into a circle about 12 inches in diameter. Slide onto a nonstick pizza pan. Brush dough with 1 teaspoon olive oil.

 

Bake in a 500oF oven that has been preheated for 30 minutes with a pizza stone inside. (Pizza stone is optional). Bake 8 minutes or until golden brown.
