Buttermilk Pancakes Recipe

Buttermilk Pancakes Recipe - 20 pancakes


2 cups sifted unbleached white flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda

3/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 egg

2 1/4 cups 1% buttermilk

2 teaspoons skim milk

1 tablespoon safflower oil


In a mixing bowl, blend ingredients with a wire whisk, just enough to moisten. Dip up batter with a large serving spoon. Bake on a preheated nonstick griddle. Turn pancakes when top side is bubbly and a few bubbles have broken. Flip only once.
