Bread Stuffing Recipe - 26 1/2 servingsIngredients: 1 large onion, chopped 3 celery stalks, chopped 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced 10 cups dried fresh cubes 2 1/2 cups reduced-fat chicken broth, preferably homemade 1 1/4 teaspoon sage 1/2 teaspoon or less salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Method: Sauté onion and celery in olive oil until tender. Add mushrooms, cook 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Add bread cubes. Gradually moisten with broth, adding a little more or less as necessary. Season and toss. Bake covered at 350oF for 30-40 minutes, or until piping hot. |
