Iced Tea Recipe

Iced Tea Recipe - 4 servings


Boiling water

6-8 tea bags, or 6-8 teaspoons loose tea measured into a tea ball

4 cups boiling water

Fresh mint for garnish

Sugar (optional)

Fresh lemon slices (optional)


Fill a teapot with rapidly boiling water, let stand to few minutes, then empty teapot. Add tea bags or tea ball, then 4 cups boiling water. Cover, let steep 3-5 minutes, or until tea is desired strength. Remove tea bags (For best results, judge the strength by the taste not by the color). Stir. Let cool at room temperature for 2 hours. Serve over ice. Garnish with mint. Pass sugar and lemon slices, if desired.
