Wild Rice Stuffing Recipe

Wild Rice Stuffing Recipe - 6 servings


1/2 medium yellow onion, chopped

3 stalks celery, chopped

1/2-3/4 cup Chicken Stock

8 fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced

2 cups bread cubes

3/4 teaspoon sage

3/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup precooked wild rice

6 1/2 ounce can sliced water chestnuts


In a skillet, sauté onion and celery in small amount of stock until tender. Add mushrooms. Sauté 3 minutes. Add bread cubes. Toss. Gradually add remaining stock, a little less or little more as needed to moisten, Season with sage, pepper and salt. Add rice and water chestnuts. Toss. Bake, covered at 350oF 30-35 minutes, or until hot.
