Steamed Asian Rice Recipe

Steamed Asian Rice Recipe - 4 servings


1 cup uncooked Asian-style white rice

1 1/2 cups water


Pour rice into a medium  saucepan. Rinse with fresh water 2-3 times, or until water runs clear. After the final rinse, drain as much water as possible (it is not necessary to drain very drop). Cover with 1 1/2 cups fresh water. Bring to a boil uncovered. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 15-20 minutes, or until moisture is absorbed and rice is fluffy. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
