Rice Pilaf Recipe

Rice Pilaf Recipe - 7 servings


1/2 teaspoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, diced

1 1/2 cups Chicken Broth

1 cup uncooked short grain white rice

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley


In a nonstick skillet, heat olive oil. Add garlic and onion, and sauté 6-8 minutes or until onion is tender. Spoon into a 3-quart saucepan. Add chicken broth, rice, dry mustard and Tabasco. Heat to boiling, stirring once or twice. Reduce heat, cover and steam for 20 minutes or until rice is tender and broth is absorbed. Add parsley. Toss.
