Refried Beans Recipe

Refried Beans Recipe - 1 cups


15-ounce cans kidney or pinto beans, with liquid

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1/2 white onion, chopped

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

1/8 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon ground red chilies

1/2 cup grated part-skim mozzarella cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil


In a blender or food processor, puree beans and garlic. Stir in onion, seasonings and cheese. In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add beans and cook, uncovered, 20-30 minutes, or until beans thicken, stir occasionally.
